A variety of Point of Care tests can be offered within the pharmacy using our compact and portable devices. Examples of situations where tests can add to a pharmacy’s service include:
👉 A 𝘾𝙍𝙋/𝙈𝙭𝘼 test measures levels of inflammation and helps to distinguish whether someone has a bacterial or viral infection, thereby facilitating responsible antimicrobial stewardship. Test patients presenting with an upper respiratory infection before prescribing antibiotics.
👉 Consider the nutritional aspects of patients' health that may affect their immediate and long-term wellbeing -provide a speedy 𝙑𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙣 𝘿, 𝙁𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙣 (iron deficiency) or 𝙃𝙗𝘼1𝙘 (diabetes/prediabetes) test using a finger-prick blood sample prior to recommending supplements or lifestyle changes.
